The Science is Clear

The data is clear that Vaccine mandates for middle and high school students will disproportionately negatively impact BIPOC students. Students of all races, ethnicities, genders, and religions will be affected by the proposed mandate. However, because vaccination rates in Oregon are lowest in BIPOC communities, those communities will be disproportionately impacted by a student vaccine mandate, stripping these students of opportunities for quality education, and participation in athletics, clubs, and activities. Such deprivation of opportunity will, by and large, hold them back for life.[1] It goes without saying that mandating BIPOC to vaccinate against their will thus stripping them of their personal choice and freedom is unconscionable.
